Donald Trump and the White House have announced the withdrawal of US troops from northern Syria, paving the way for Erdogan to launch a new wave of attacks on Rojava and all that its revolution represents.

Thousands take to the streets in global day of action

The Riseup4Rojava international campaign and the Rojava Internationalist Commune called for a worldwide mobilization against the Turkish invasion of northeastern Syria. A wave of solidarity began. Several localities, all around the world, took to the streets in response to Rojava’s call.

In recent days, several mobilizations and actions have taken place in a global action against the Turkish occupation, the ethnic cleansing of the Kurds in northeastern Syria and the destruction of the Rojava Revolution.

Pamphlets were distributed with the statement issued by the Kurdish people and there was an open microphone session appealing to Rojava’s resistance and defense.

In the words of Gea, one of the women present:

It is a dirty war against a life project, Democratic Confederalism, which has its basis in ecology, democracy and the liberation of women.
