Three Greek pro-Palestine collectives erased from instagram~ 2 min

Two days ago, a constellation of pro-Palestinian collectives based in Greece was erased from instagram. The accounts of these three groups were simultaneously deleted, in the latest case of the platform’s ever growing censorship.

The three collectives are:

• Gather 4 Gaza – a collective focused on fundraising for a community kitchen in the Gaza Strip, and building grassroots solidarity with Palestine and other victims of western imperialism;

• Kinografiko – a collective countering western psychological warfare and disinformation campaigns, as well as amplifying voices from the resistance in Gaza and the broader Axis of Resistance;

• Pen & Rifle – an Arab-led graphics collective producing graphics as a weapon of struggle and as a means of generating popular support for anti-imperialist movements, having as its main focus honoring the martyrs and fighters of the Axis of Resistance.

This comes as no surprise – many other Palestinian and pro-Palestinian journalists, organisations and independent voices, especially those with openly pro-Resistance stances, have been targeted by Meta and other big tech companies over the past two and a half years. Yet, it serves as a stark reminder of how, in the present Era, censorship is not enforced by official decrees, but rather by private companies – in a completely arbitrary fashion, with no chance for appeal nor defense.

This comes just one month after a comrade who takes part in these collectives was kidnapped from the street by thugs of the Greek regime, and many zines were apprehended during the raid to his home. The symbiotic relation forged between western genocidal regimes and zionist big tech is giving birth to a dystopian world far surpassing Huxley’s, Orwell’s and Bradbury’s worst nightmares.

In this context, it is paramount that readers and followers of these kind of collectives move from platforms owned by zionists to ones which are subjected to less censorship, like telegram, upscrolled or substack.

And, most importantly, it is imperative for those in the imperial core to build actual resistance to face the dark ages ahead of us.
